Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information PortfolioSight may receive during the public beta and how it is used.
Portfolio analysis inputs
PortfolioSight may receive the ticker symbols, portfolio weights, benchmark choices, and other inputs you submit to run an analysis. Do not submit account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information.
Beta feedback
If you use the feedback form, PortfolioSight stores the feedback type, message, optional portfolio/tickers, optional email address, submission time, and limited technical information needed to reduce abuse. Providing an email address is optional.
Server logs and analytics
The hosting provider and web server may maintain standard logs such as IP address, requested pages, browser information, timestamps, and error information. If privacy-respecting product analytics are added during beta, this policy should be updated to identify them.
How information is used
- To provide and troubleshoot portfolio analysis.
- To investigate incorrect data or missing securities.
- To improve usability, performance, and data coverage.
- To prevent abuse and protect the service.
- To respond if you voluntarily provide contact information.
Data sharing
PortfolioSight does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers necessary to operate the website, and may be disclosed when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention
Beta feedback and operational logs may be retained for as long as reasonably useful for product development, security, troubleshooting, or legal obligations. Unneeded data may be deleted periodically.
Third-party data
PortfolioSight uses public regulatory and market-reference information from third-party sources. Links to third-party websites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices.
Changes
This policy may change as PortfolioSight develops. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are made.
